Doesn't it feel totally awesome when you're filled with gratitude? The other day I found myself focusing on a few things in life, that weren't to my taste. As you probably know, when you're in that state, it's virtually impossible to have positive emotions.

Since we're always in a position to give back, I decided to start a Facebook Fan Page called The Gratitude Group. I highly recommend you check it out, as there are some truly amazing people being grateful there. It's pretty inspiring stuff. If you've ever found yourself needing to be around positive empowering people it's a great place to do that.
Living with gratitude now...

You know the movie Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner? Build it and they will come? To be honest, that's exactly what happened. Within a couple days there where over 80 people in the group sharing what they're most grateful for on a daily basis. So gratitude is huge right? It makes up feel great, and often when we share something we're grateful for to others with pure gratitude, it empowers them also.

gratitudeGetting back to living with gratitude. Did you ever notice you can't experience a negative emotion if you're feeling grateful? That's because our brains can only experience one thought at a time. That's why gratitude works, because you're literally able to bask in your pure awesomeness!

Begin grateful starts with a choice, just like anything in life. One of the most amazing feels in living in a space of gratitude from everything you experience in life. I mean everything we experience (even if it's not to our taste) we can be grateful for and feel good about. I know what you're thinking, "But Ryan, it's really hard for me to feel gratitude!" That's alright, because most people are conditioned to focus on what they don't want! So gratitude becomes a foreign thing, and in most cases, the last thing people think of.

So the key to gratitude is not just being grateful for having a roof over your head, food in your stomach, and clean drinking water but for everything that happens in your life. We have so much here in North America and it's easy to compare ourselves to others thinking we don't have much. You know what I'm talking about! Looking at what others have achieved, and feeling less than because of what we've achieved. That's a chat about The Law Of Comparison and a chat for another day!

Just remember gratitude is about learning to live that way. It's an outlook, a mindset, and a way of living. Take today to do your best to practice Gratitude. Remember that it's important to surround yourself with people who are in the space of gratitude.

If you're on Facebook , head over to The Gratitude Group and start sharing what you're most grateful for today!
